Badminton

    hi,
    just moved to Vientiane and wondered if there are any badminton courts/clubs and if anyone would like to play once a weekish?

    brought my racket from UK but don't have shuttles

    You can get them at just about any sports shop in town.

    As far as courts go many people just play outside for fun. I do know of one place but I'm not sure if it is still there. I'll post up a map when I get to my computer.

    Called Thanongard Sport on the far right of the map. But like I said I don't know if it is still open as I haven't been in awhile. ThanongardSport.jpg

    1. I've seen this several time passing on the road 13 to Pakse or road 10 to Thangon.

    Thanks a lot, I was cycling about today and saw about 100 people playing so felt a bit silly, will have a look

    Yea, badminton is fairly popular here so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a game.

    anou road by swedish baking house nightly there is drop in. pay by the shuttlecock. pretty good players up to national team people.

    lao-viet badminton club.
